Buy it if you want the taste of a pork-bone ramen in a meat-free bowl; if you want the oily richness of a ramen-shop tonkotsu, there is no pork fat in this one.

On the pack: 九州 とんこつ風 (Kyushu tonkotsu-fū). Tonkotsu is pork-bone broth, and fū means "-style": the soup copies the taste of the pork-bone ramen of Kyushu, Japan's southern island.

What you're getting

The soup is creamy from soy milk powder, seasoned with soy sauce, garlic, onion and cabbage; the pork taste comes from a flavouring.

The noodles are smooth, straight and dried, in two separate bundles, one per serving.

Nothing comes on top.
