$8.79 per 100 gHeart-shaped muscat gummies from Japan, each one coated in a sour powder over a sweet green-grape chew. Muscat is a green grape; Puré is Japan's best-selling gummy brand by sales (Intage, a Japanese retail-sales tracker, October 2024 to September 2025). Buy it if you like a sour hit before the sweet; if a sour coat is the part you dislike, this is the wrong bag.
On the pack: ピュレグミ (pyu-reh goo-mee), with MUSCAT in English.
Keep the bag out of the sun and away from heat and humidity, as the pack says: in a warm room the coating can melt and the pieces stick together in one clump. This is not the Puré Premium Shine Muscat, a different, centre-filled gummy; this is the everyday muscat.
Sugar (made in Japan), glucose syrup, gelatine, concentrated grape juice
acidulant, thickener (pectin), calcium carbonate, vitamin C, flavouring, colours (safflower yellow, gardenia). Bags from before the March 2026 recipe change also list grape paste after the juice.

None declared — the ingredient list names no allergen.
Not ingredients — these are made or handled on the same equipment as this product, so traces are possible. We list every shared-equipment allergen stated on the pack or by the maker.
The gummies are set with gelatine, an animal product, and the pack does not say which animal it comes from. That rules them out for vegetarians and vegans, and for anyone who needs to know the source animal.

The sourness left more of an impression than the muscat did.

It was the squishy type! I like hard gummies, so it may not be for me.

The maker
Kanro has made sweets in Japan since 1912. It brought out Puré in 2002 as a gummy made for grown-ups rather than children, and the brand now comes in a range of fruit flavours, with grape, lemon and muscat as the everyday three.
The gummies are made at Kanro's plants in Nagano, in the mountains of central Japan.
