Buy it if you like a light, crisp biscuit and a soft sweet cream; if you want a flavour that announces itself, this is the wrong one.

- Yamazaki Biscuits
Picola has been on Japanese shelves since 1976, which makes 2026 its fiftieth year.
It is a thin sheet of biscuit rolled into a hollow tube, with the cream run around the inside rather than over the outside. Custard joined in February 2026 as a new standing flavour, alongside chocolate, strawberry and a sweet-potato one for autumn.
